MEZCAL

DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

Agave Spirits are the fastest-growing spirits category in the world and Cardiff Distillery are pleased to offer a new bespoke service to turn your ideas into reality via our connections with a world-class team and their footprint in Mexico: The team have inaugurated the international Mezcal fair for the last 5 years. They have a regular keynote speaker on the international promotion of agave brands, as well as being a global authority on product positioning.

Their invaluable knowledge is essential for navigating the local market and identifying the optimal suppliers to work with. We work closely with an ambassador for agave spirits. Their knowledge is second to none, having also worked for the Mezcal Regulation authority. When it comes to flavour profile, batch quality and more, the team have you covered.

The following items are what our team determine are needed, in the creation of a new MVP ‘Mezcal’ or Agave Spirit / Distillate. It allows our partners to take advantage of the market expertise and create an additional revenue opportunity in a rapidly growing market sector.

WHY CARDIFF DISTILLERY?

We work with a UK team, who has investments into Mexico and operates teams across different Mexican states. They have 12 years of experience working in the Mexican market and direct ownership of agave assets within Mexico that enable us to create a great position from which to assist new brands. Alongside the above, they operate an agave spirits educational centre from Oaxaca City, the Agave Casa, which is located in the state of Oaxaca, the producer of over 80% of the world’s supply of Mezcal.

All quoted prices are exclusive of UK VAT. Agave costs are additional, priced per kilogram and may vary according to agave species and agave age. After successful confirmation of your MVP, the minimum order size is for 1,000 litres, whereby your agave costs will be absorbed within a fixed supply price per litre, pending your final MVP choice.
